Marggie Weekley is a Texas-based artist working primarily in acrylics, with additional work in watercolor and oil. Her colorful, expressive paintings explore light, color, and the beauty found in everyday subjects—from flowers and still lifes to landscapes and familiar scenes. Marggie’s approach emphasizes visible brushwork, strong color, and spontaneity rather than photorealistic detail. Her work is shaped by an ongoing interest in how light and color can transform familiar subjects.
Marggie’s connection to art began in childhood, watching her grandmother Adelia, a Mexican painter, at work. She began painting herself with oils and oil pastels in high school, before pursuing a diffrent professional path, earning a Master of Science in Accounting and becoming a CPA. Years later, Marggie returned to painting and eventually established Estudio Adelias as both her working studio and a space where local artists can gather, create, and teach.
